Software Developer, IBM Corporation, New York, NY (Up to 60% telecommuting permitted): Design and develop a solution which allows user to board an application automatically on company’s access management tool. Support and maintain the Identity and Access Management platforms for efficient user experience. Solve the problem of manual boarding by providing automated self-service solution. Use tools for continuous deployment and continuous integration of the frontend and backend systems. Promote security best practices by applying security protocols like regular vulnerability scans, dynamic scans, minor/major version updates. Manage stakeholders’ expectations as per developer availability and roadmap targets. Work on modernizing applications built on older technology to make them more reliable, robust, and scalable. Work on refactoring projects to replace old technologies with new one. Create reusable components and reduce code redundancy for application scalability. Provide insight in peer code reviews and unit testing to ensure coding standards stays consistent with company’s IT disciplines. Follow agile best practices and use GitHub and Jira to track the project progress. Contribute to the hiring process by conducting technical interviews. Monitor and guide entry level developers to help them understand the systems and technologies being used for development. Utilize: Shell Script, REST API, DB2, Github, Agile Software Development Methodologies, Identity and governance administration, Identity and access management. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer or related.
