Specialty IT Site Support (manufacturing) - Site Lead- Menuma (Saitama, Japan)
This role is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to serve as a service delivery lead, technical liaison, and integrator. You will be responsible for a variety of service management, analytical, and technical assignments. Responsibilities
- Designing, delivering, managing, and improving all discrete activities, processes and vendors’ services that support the delivery of IT services to business.
- Ensuring alignment with the organization’s quality and compliance requirements to ensure the infrastructure systems remain Audit Ready (EHS, Financial & GxP).
- Diagnosing problems and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software, and network products.
- Implementing and executing activities in line with company technical and quality standards and procedures with focus on continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.
- Managing IT asset at the site and the departmental budget.
- Acting as a liaison between other technical staff, management, users, and vendors regarding service requests, utilization, standards, security, and other specialty technical matters.
- Implementing new technologies and procedures, delivering integration and configuration work and responding to complex problems.
- Managing suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets.
- Managing the operational relationships between suppliers and ensuring potential disputes or conflicts are raised and resolved.
- Representing the Global End User Services organization at the sites.
- Effectively coaching, counseling, and building teams on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Required
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent fields is desired or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of working experience in supporting IT infrastructure services or IT operation, including 3+ years hands-on experience in supporting and trouble-shooting production and supply chain systems.
- Good understanding of end user computing systems including MS Windows, MS Office suite as well as core computing infrastructure such as Network hardware (layer 2/ Layer 3/ routers), network protocols, cabling solutions, network design principles, voice systems, server hardware, backup systems, and wireless infrastructure. CCNA or equivalent knowledge
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Proficiency in ITIL or similar IT service management framework.
- Experience operating in matrix environment.
- Experience with CAPEX / OPEX planning and budget monitoring.
