ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs technical support activities related to manufacturing with engineering approach to effectively respond to each work request in terms of productivity, quality, and cost.
  • Co-work with NPI to support all new products launch.
  • To ensure no NPI build impact from component and process related.
  • In-house interface for quality feedback and follow up with related department for closure.
  • To co-work with related departments for quality problem solving.
  • To judge the disposition regarding to part/product acceptance for production process based on specification.
  • Co-ordinates with other sections including oversea organization concerning technical issues related to component and product.
  • Supervises Associate/Assistant Engineers and Technicians in responsibility to accomplish job in most effective way.
  • Works with cross functional teams to prepare executive level presentations for briefing teams on overview of the excursion, impact assessment and related investigation information
  • Acts as interface between Supplier Quality Engineering function, internal customers and downstream factories on component quality issues, evaluations and other general issues

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Material Science/Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Other engineering discipline can be considered if candidates possess hard disk experience.
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in quality engineering or supplier quality engineering.

REQUIRED

  • Must have related experience in component cleanliness or contamination control
  • Familiar with various manufacturing processes such as etching, machining, lapping, cleanroom operations, component assembly, etc
  • Familiar with 8 Disciplines of problem solving & FMEA

SKILLS:

  • Strong technical knowledge in engineering principles, manufacturing process and quality assurance methodologies
  • Adaptable and flexible and able to learn new technologies, cleanliness testing methodologies and processes and adjust to changing expectations.
  • Problem Solving – Investigate complex problems, gather relevant data, define appropriate analysis to identify root cause, followed by solution options for evaluation and implementation.
  • Analytical Thinking – Analyzing information statistically and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
