Your responsibilities:
- Design control logic intended for real time embedded electronic systems
- Create control logic using Python, Matlab and/or C programming
- Generate design requirements and documentation to define and describe the control system
- Simulate and evaluate control logic using various tools and methods
- Test control system design in the lab using various equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies and test software applications
- Solve engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions
- Work with cross-functional team members to solve problems and execute on project priorities
- Provide clear communication to stakeholders as necessary through verbal and written communication
- Train and/or provide work direction to Technicians, Interns, and other Engineers as necessary
- Investigate, research, and select components, tools, equipment, and best practices
- In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar with 4-6 years or more experience OR Master’s Degree with 3-4 years or more experience
- Knowledgeable about feedback control principles
- Proficient in Python, Matlab, or C
- Experience using test equipment in an electronics lab
- Must be a self-starter and willing to work with a team to move project priorities forward
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Strong math and physics skills
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems and accessories
- Interest in both theory and hands on applications
- Experience with the concepts of programming in an embedded environment
- Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources
- Experience working in a regulated environment
