Job Duties: Develop efficient, clean, reusable, and high-quality application code sequences without unnecessary complications or abstraction. Learn software design constructs to better understand business goals and requirements and develop software solutions that meet them. Develop new features and modules using Java/J2EE framework and object-oriented design patterns within the existing and new platforms that meet the design requirements for proper user accessibility. Manage workload and other assignments efficiently while resolving time-critical situations reliably and professionally. Lead and estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout for applications integrating with cross-functional components. Create clear and concise documentation for technical specifications. Periodically test newly implemented applications for performance, security, and scalability. Present issues and software solutions leadership teams with risk mitigation proposals/solutions. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. Ensure code quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, refactoring, standards and improving build and test systems. Develop data-driven applications using RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, etc.), including strong data architecture and SQL development skills. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Job Description:
Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
