Key job responsibilities
As a Network Development Engineer working within AWS Infrastructure you will:- Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.- Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
- Create and implement changes on the network.
• Currently in your penultimate year (graduating 2026) of a BSc or Masters degree in Computer Science, Networking or related field
• Knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies
• Experience scripting in languages such as Python, Perl or Shell
• Amazon values knowledge of Accessibility in relation to its products, devices, services, websites or environments, so as to be usable by people with disabilities
• Analytical skills
• Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment
• Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures
• Able to handle ambiguous or vaguely defined challenges and articulate technical solutions through abstract thinking
• Must be able to integrate and work well as part of a team
Please note that Amazon internships require full-time commitment during the duration of the internship. The duration of the internship will run over a consecutive 12 weeks from December 2025 - February 2026.
