The ideal person for this role is highly technical and knows how to increase their impact by guiding the efforts of a team. We're breaking new ground every day, so you'll need to be undeterred by uncertain requirements and shifting dependencies. You'll be leading a dynamic and creative team charged with exploring a new and rapidly evolving domain. You will be developing an entirely new application paradigm - a challenge that will demand rapid iteration without sacrificing quality or attention to detail. Along the way, you'll also help build a passionate and diverse team to push the envelope in this new space.
Key Qualifications
- Experience leading and developing a team of highly skilled engineers in a cross-functional environment
- Experience collaborating with other disciplines including designers, QA engineers, and program managers
- Detailed understanding of operating systems, graphics, networking, and other sub-systems
- Familiarity in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Objective-C, Swift
- Familiarity with Apple UI frameworks like UIKit and SwiftUI
- Extraordinary attention to detail
Education & Experience
BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
- Interest or proficiency in UI/UX design
- Experience with low-level graphics APIs (Metal, OpenGL, DirectX) Experience
- Developing AR/VR applications
- Familiarity with ARKit
- Strong track record of shipping high quality applications for Apple products (e.g., macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, or visionOS)
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400 and $316,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
