JPMorgan Workplace Solutions is embarking on a search for a Deputy Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate will help to initially build out the business management function for Workplace Solutions, as well as partner with the COO to support and deputise across his functional areas; EMEA and Asia Equity Plan Management, Global Implementations, Service Desk & Financial Reporting, Global Shares Execution Services Limited (RoW custody & brokerage).

Job Responsibilities

  • Support and deputise for the Chief Operating Officer in the management of his functional areas, covering:
    • EMEA and Asia Equity Plan Management
    • Global Implementations, Service Desk & Financial Reporting
    • Global Shares Execution Services Limited (RoW custody & brokerage)
  • Build out a Business Management function to cover the management of global operational change, cross-functional global BAU management and reporting and the management of ad-hoc operational issues
  • Coordinate across the COO’s teams and across other functional areas within Equity Plan Services, Workplace Solutions and AWM
  • Governance – to maintain relevant reporting, work with Control Management on Issue/Action Plan updates, and to take issues through the relevant fora where needed
  • Personally to lead ad hoc operational issue resolution
  • Develop expertise in one or more of the COO’s functional areas with a view to assuming management responsibility in due course

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Previous experience in a senior operational, business management or an similar role
  • Experience in influencing, organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Versatile abilities and dedication to efficient productivity
  • Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions
  • Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field
  • 5+ years in a corporate management role
