Key job responsibilities
• Hire, motivate, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team of software engineers and data engineers, providing them with appropriate opportunities to succeed in their career objectives
• Define and deliver on the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for GO-AI’s Tier 1 / Tier 2 software and data services
• Work backwards from the customers’ needs with long-term focus
• Lead your teams in the design and delivery of highly available, highly scalable services and features for GO-AI
• Develop and improve team processes to best deliver for your customers and business• Communicate technical concepts, project status, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technicalA day in the life

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier software services experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience implementing engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and certification
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Bachelor's degree in a related Technical field

- 5+ years of hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing teams of software engineers and/or data engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering software experience
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software/data product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Master’s degree in a related Technical or Business field
