Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and fix production problems in every layer of the stack
  • Design, develop, improve, and tune logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Identify manual work, document the fix in the form of a runbook, then automate it away Work across organizations to develop and uphold standard SLAs and SLOs
  • Work with customer facing and development teams to provide accurate information, logs, pertinent data, and reproduction of production problems for quick resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotation supporting production systems.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level members of the team
  • Drive large projects from a technical perspective.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10 + years of experience with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Direct experience in building and managing an SRE team
  • Direct experience with infrastructure and application monitoring and alerting systems
  • Direct experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing customer problems in data or software changes
  • Considers each change for its maintainability
  • Builds applications, forms, and processes as simple and as easy to read as possible
  • Tries to make the correct choice between doing it “right” and doing it “fast” (defaulting toward doing it right when possible)
  • Participates in technical roadmap and structural improvements
  • Participates in SLA and product meetings for faster production rectification and deployment turnaround
  • You will be pushing the company forward via new technology, methodologies, and processes, evolving our culture to stay ahead of the curve, so you must have an entrepreneurial spirit and strong drive Communication Skills
  • Proactively escalates issues and blockers
  • Documents major changes and plans, to improve the overall health of the documentation and to make it easier for the next engineer

  • Provides and is receptive to constructive feedback
  • must be able to work and communicate effectively with both teammates and stakeholders
