You’ll be chartered with leading the development of innovative optical solutions, which will change how we build optical infrastructure to support Amazon’s ever growing capacity requirements. You’ll drive a step-change in Amazon’s ability to provision, manage and monitor the network.Key job responsibilities- Work with vendors/manufacturers in developing hardware and firmware features and integrating the products with AWS software stack.- Automate test infrastructure in validating interconnect products meet AWS specification.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Engineering, Or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on experience on optical communication system or components
- 4+ years of experience with optical transceivers and IEEE standards
- 2+ years of experience working with optical vendors and component suppliers
- 2+ years of experience developing test scripts for optics validation and characterization.
