Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) or Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or system design operations methodology.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in Troubleshooting of DWDM systems and topology and architecture.
Knowledge of fiber types and their application; physical fiber characteristics; and standard testing tools Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA), Bit Error Rate Test (BERT), Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
Understanding of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting at Layer1.
Understanding of network transport design, equipment and infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
