Key Qualifications
- Background in semiconductor technology through academic training and industry experience
- Deep understanding of Silicon package design and failure mechanisms
- Failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, x-ray or CT scans, scanning electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, FIB, laser etching, LiT, etc.
- Application of Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences ranging from technicians to senior executives
- Extraordinary problem-solving abilities with strong attention to fine details
- Experience in developing and performing environmental and mechanical stress tests including shock, drop, and vibration
- Ability to travel unrestricted
- And most importantly, passion for building reliable products
Education & Experience
M.S or PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Physical Sciences and 4+ years of experience in a related field or industry
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
