Oversee Playtika's big data technologies, such as Vertica, SingleStore, Spark, Kafka, Aerospike and many more, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Continuously identify and implement automation opportunities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and resilience of the data infrastructure platform.
Drive problem management efforts by leading investigations, conducting root cause analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures and permanent fixes.
Define and track team KPIs, ensuring alignment of individual and team contributions with organizational goals.
Collaborate with external vendors to meet reliability requirements, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and mentor teams of Data & SRE professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability while ensuring productivity and effectiveness.
Requirements
Leadership Experience : 5+ years in Data Engineering management, with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams.
Technical Expertise : Deep understanding of data infrastructure components, including data lakes, messaging frameworks, databases, storage systems and modern SRE principles.
Big Data Technology Proficiency : Hands-on experience with big data platforms and tools such as Vertica, SingleStore, Spark, Kafka, Aerospike and others. Strong knowledge in SQL and relational databases.
Site Reliability Engineering Skills : Proficiency in automating operational tasks, improving system resilience, and implementing observability practices, including exirpience with at least one programming language such as Python.
Incident and Change Management : Strong experience in handling production incidents, root cause analysis, and structured change management processes.
Project Management : Ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and within scope.
Communication Skills : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Business Alignment : Strong understanding of business objectives and the ability to align IT strategies with overall organizational goals.
