As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for:
* Gathering requirements, designing, implementing, integrating, testing, and launching high-quality, large-scale distributed software systems that solve significant customer problems
* Developing the best customer experience, keeping latency, security, and usability in mind
* Working across a broad range of technologies to build devices, services, and automation workflows
* Developing solutions that scale across a broad range of Amazon Devices.* Promoting a culture of engineering excellence by establishing best practices and technical standards across the organization
* Leading and mentoring other talented engineersA day in the lifeDaily activities include analyzing requirements, creating and reviewing high quality design document, code, and test suites. They work on testing and debugging devices and services, often dealing with challenging performance requirements. They drive operational excellence and continuous improvements to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++, or experience in embedded wireless systems
- Experience developing system test automation infrastructure
