Actuarial Services Advisor, Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services - Life and Health - Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1512697), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.

Provide actuarial services to clients in the life and health insurance industry concentrating on areas such as risk management, financial reporting, Actuarial Transformation and modeling, retirement income and pension risk transfer, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration, actuarial tax, managed services and audit support. Focus on modeling, financial forecasting, valuation, cash flow testing, reserve testing, risk management (hedging, asset liability management, economic capital), M&A due diligence and actuarial appraisals and litigation support. Understand and communicate complex actuarial issues.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressive experience in:

Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related, and 4 years of related experience in:
- an actuarial role within a consulting firm providing services to Life Insurance companies; or

Must have 4 years of experience with actuarial-related software (all combinations that add up to 4 years), including AXIS, Prophet, MoSes, ArcVal, Polysystem and/or ALFA.

Must have 4 years of experience in Excel, SAS, VBA and/or C++.

Must have 2 years of experience writing and presenting technical information to clients or senior management.

Must have Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries designation, OR must have successfully completed all of the required exams and modules required to obtain Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries designation.

Travel required approximately 50% nationally.
