Description
This position requires a collaborative teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills who will enjoy working with others around the globe to maintain the networking infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include working on tickets and break fixes, taking escalations from and mentoring junior team members, developing network automation playbooks, maintaining and upgrading existing networks to current standards, coordinating peering expansions, and contributing to technical and procedural documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of network operations experience in a large scale enterprise or service provider environment
- Experience evaluating and managing outages to large scale critical infrastructure, with ITIL skills and Change Management processes
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP and various IGP protocols
- Proficiency in macOS, Linux, and/or other variations of UNIX operating systems
- Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent experience
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Flexibility to work early morning or late night shift patterns required
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and/or Nokia carrier-grade routers and their respective network operating systems, including the understanding of peering and/or transit networks
- Experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as Ansible, Python, Go, etc is advantageous
