Job Description:
Join the Branch Network Finance team to support key priorities for the Consumer Bank including branch network expansion and One Chase sales strategy. In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to the Branch Expansion & One Chase Strategy organization and work closely with stakeholders across the Consumer Bank organization (e.g., Branch Network CFO, Data & Analytics, Field Finance).
As a Market Strategy Senior Associate on the Branch Network Finance team, you will focus on supporting core finance functions (e.g., Business management, P&A, business cases) and special projects encompassing, but not limited to, competitive intelligence on deposit market share and branch networks. In this strategic and analytical role, you will help inform our stakeholders in their mission to deliver 500 new branches over the next three years and helping clients with their financial needs through our team of experts across our national branch footprint. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who consistently delivers and is comfortable navigating the space of a newly-developed organization.
Job responsibilities:
- Conduct analyses to support strategic thinking of the Branch Expansion & One Chase Strategy organization
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of P&L statements, headcount, OKRs, and other key financial metrics for BAU reviews and ad hoc requests
- Partner with stakeholders to gather key data inputs for on-going business case development
- Compile various sources of data in organized and effective formats, and prepare deep-dive analyses on new build branch portfolios to identify performance trends and key drivers
- Support the annual FDIC deposit market share process, develop a deep knowledge of the process and help identify trends benchmarking Chase to key peers at the national level and across local geographies for incorporation into key forums (e.g., Investor Day, OC Market Visits)
- Analyze competitor branch distribution strategies from data sources including quarterly branch count files, quarterly earnings, industry conferences, and press releases (e.g., mergers & acquisitions, expansion)
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
- 4+ years of relevant Financial Services experience in financial analytics, strategy, or business management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to summarize key findings and complex data into concise, high-level products geared towards a senior audiences
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint/PitchPRO+
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships across the organization
- Strong follow-through, initiative, and sense of urgency
