You will be part of an Application Development team that is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of development and enhancements. As an Application Developer your responsibilities include –

• Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
• Create and consume micro services and APIs as per Westpac WDP standards.
• Development using Java related technologies, WDP API’s, SQL Database, network related changes.
• Making sure all test environments up and running for daily application development activities.
• Discuss and interact with business users to resolve any issues/blockers.
• Available and provide application support/data for any up/downstream applications.
• Define technical user stories and track the development activities of the team members.
• Lead workshops and engage stakeholders as required from onshore.
• Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner.We are currently recruiting Application Developer-IBM Cloud FullStack for a 24-month fixed term contract, based in Sydney.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –

• Manage and lead large and complex Banking projects and teams across locations preferably in the Core business domain.
• 10+ years of experience in most of the layers of application development.
• Must have experience on terraform to provision servers & certificates.
• Experience on creating UI screens using Java Swing framework.
• Should have vast experience on various skills related to all the layers, Java, J2EE, Servlet, GWT, Spring, WAF, Vault, GIT, Bitbucket, Hibernate, Splunk, Maven, Micro services, REST/SOAP services.
• Other Frameworks like JUnit 3.0, Log4j, etc. IDE for Dev: Eclipse. Design skills: Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) & J2EE Design Patterns.
• Good knowledge and experience in Mortgage domain (in Banking)
• Should have domain knowledge in home loans.
• Should be proficient in DevOps methodologies and tools.
• Must have Banking domain certification and Agile certification (prefer SAFe Agile).
