ABOUT THE ROLE
As aLead Installations Field Service Technician - Conveyor Systemshere at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the successful installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of conveyor systems at customer sites. You will utilize your expertise in material handling equipment mechanics, as well as the ability to oversee subcontractors and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope & statement of work, and budget.
You will report to the Sr. Field Service Supervisor, and you willdomestically and internationally. Projects may take anywhere from 2-3 days to several months. Your time home will be scheduled appropriately to current policy; typically, 1 weekend every 2 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Independently install, service, and repair complex conveyor systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to project teams.
- Support project planning, execution, testing, and final handover.
- Track project scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports and project documentation.
- Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Position Details:
- Travel Requirement: 100% (assignments range from a few days to several months).
- Time at Home: Typically, one weekend every two months, per company policy.
COMPENSATION OVERVIEW
The hourly base range for this position is $32-$38. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in automation controls (conveyor/distribution systems, building automation, industrial automation, manufacturing automation, etc.).
- Experience overseeing industrial control systems installations and subcontractors.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100% (domestic & international).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
WE VALUE
- Bilingual skills in Spanish will be helpful.
- Trade-related certifications or a college degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with customer specifications and statement of work compliance (SOW).
- Experience reviewing legal documents and ensuring subcontractor adherence.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and other project management tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
