Field Service Engineer (m/f/d).

In this role you will step up and apply your expertise when the first level of technical support is unable to immediately solve the issue.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the focal point to our clients in need of immediate on-site technical assistance. It will be your goal to enable your customers to remain operational at all times. You will do so by following-up on the remote diagnosis and resolve it as quickly as possible. You’ll have the opportunity to install, configure, maintain and repair systems.

Furthermore, you will contribute to maintenance related activities to minimize the risk of machine failure.

You will have the opportunity to work on highly complex machines and identify the nature of (complex) issues and provide optimal solutions to the customer.

Keeping yourself updated with the latest developments within the industry will be part of the role as well.

And last but not least you will benefit from working in a diverse environment with an extensive scale of nationalities, backgrounds and age groups and be part of a dynamic, high-performance and dedicated organization.

To be successful in this role you would need the followingprofessional skills and experience:

  • Experience as a HP Indigo Field Service Engineer or as an HP Indigo Operator on HP Indigo Labels & Packaging presses.

  • An intermediate or higher vocational technical background covering both mechanics and electronics.

  • A good understanding of:

    • Electronics (including reading wiring diagrams).

    • Mechanics.

    • PC’s, Windows SW, basic Networking skills.

    • Pneumatics/Hydraulics.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills (down to electronics component level).

  • Written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.

  • Experience with installation and break down of complex industrial products is a plus, but if you are eager to learn from colleagues and on the job and you have a can-do attitude, we trust you’ll have the right foundation to be successful.

And you would bea person who:

  • takes ownership of the assigned cases and customers.

  • understands the importance of a correct and timely case admin.

  • knows the art of transferring knowledge to the customer operators.

  • Is eager to learn and develop.

  • shows dedication, ownership, and a proactive attitude.

  • is prepared to travel within the Nordics (sometimes with overnight stay) to serve the extended customer base.

  • can interact at different levels of the organization internally and externally.

  • enjoys a diverse working environment and likes working in a team.

  • lives in Germany in the greater Hamburg area.
