As a Principal Security Engineer at GE Healthcare, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of security solutions to protect our information assets. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of security architecture and frameworks.
  • Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on secure design and development practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Mentor and train junior security engineers and other staff on security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture and engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and identity management.
  • Experience with cloud security, particularly in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Hands-on experience with security incident response and forensics.
