MongoDB Engineering Manager

This role will report to the Director of Engineering also based in our Gurgaon office.

• Flexible! You'll be leading a small team, so you're willing to take on a wide variety of responsibilities, learning as you go and distributing that knowledge to the team
• Experience working on, or with, a remote team

• Lead the team in designing, implementing, testing, and releasing features for our Cloud Manager and Ops Manager products (a mix of on-premises and cloud products)
• Lead in an agile team environment with a close relationship with the customer
• Develop the team, and encourage Agile best-practise, such as incrementally shipping complex projects
• Assist our Ops & Support Engineers in troubleshooting operational issues with customers

• Experience leading a team of software engineers
• Experience as a software engineer - the design, implementation and launch of features and products
• Strong experience with a language such as Java, Go, or Python
• Familiarity running services on Cloud Infrastructure (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure), using containers and/or container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)

• Experience with multiple programming languages
• Experience with the MongoDB Server (specialized, in-depth training will be provided upon joining)
• Familiarity with modern full-stack web development
• Some experience administering Windows & Linux servers
