As an AWS Security team member, you will help secure that environment for our customers while working on security products for a variety of platforms and technologies, all operating at AWS scale.Amazon is looking for an experienced Application Security Engineer to help validate that our external-interfacing AWS services, applications, and websites are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will be responsible for analyzing the security of applications and services, discovering and addressing security issues, building security automation, and quickly reacting to new threat scenarios.Key job responsibilities
- Identify technical risks and work with peer security experts to implement security programs and processes to offer mitigations- Work with stakeholders to ensure new and existing processes are secure- Review processes to ensure secure mechanisms exist and validate security controls- Establish mechanisms to introduce security controls reducing individual reviews

- Associate's degree or above
- Knowledge of system, network and OS
- Experience in one or more of the following domains: access- control system and methodology, network security, application- and system-development security, security architecture and models, cryptography, and operations security
- 2+ years of any combination of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
- 2+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
- Experience with AWS products and services
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH)
- Knowledge of internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts
