Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experiences
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting 24x7x365 Data Center Operations or Operations teams in other industries.
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading and influencing a diverse organization of full-time employees across multiple disciplines, platforms, cultures, and countries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of datacenter infrastructures (e.g. network, security, computing architecture, logistics, inventory management, critical electrical and mechanical systems, vendor support services).
  • Supply chain, procurement, vendor management and fiscal planning background and experience.
  • Awareness of IT Service Operations fundamentals and principles. (ITIL, MOF, OLA/SLA, CSI, etc.).

Background Check Requirements:

The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Datacenter Operations – IT Lifecycle Management

  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of datacenter operations.
  • Leadership, management, coaching, and development of Microsoft full time employees across datacenters in your region.
  • Collaborate, communicate, present, and negotiate effectively across groups of various levels and disciplines, such as senior Microsoft leaders, suppliers, partners, technicians, etc.
  • Management and oversight of vendor/partner contracts and relationships including Fleet Management, IT service providers, and partner support teams.
  • Collaborate with global and regional management teams and contribute to improvement programs.
  • Lead projects and programs related to continuous improvements including business case development.
  • Learn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values. Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
