The role of theIntegration and technical Infrastructure Manager (ITIM)requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. We are seeking a Project Manager with the ability to self-direct and who has a strong background in Data Center Construction, with an emphasis on telecoms project/construction management.

The ITIM is responsible for the project management of all integration and fit-out activities associated with MSFT owned system and/or services and critical infrastructure that is required to be installed into a new data center build or lease facility to deliver capacity to the business. The role requires the identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the physical construction with landlord and other vendors. The ITIM is responsible for coordinating the handover process and ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met to hand over the space to our Operations teams and the business.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Business Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years of experience in Data Centerconstruction project management or other Information Technology build outs
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience working on data center projects

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMI (Project Management Institute) – PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation Experience
  • Data Center construction experience
  • Construction Health & Safety Knowledge
  • Cross-group collaborator and influencer across teams and organizations with proven success inparticipatingin cross-functional teams to deliver on key projects.

The key responsibilities of the ITIM includes, but is not limited to:

  • The ITIM will be a relentless advocate for managing a safe worksite , supporting the implementation of the Microsoft High Risk Activity (HRA) program and work with our Construction PM and landlord groups to deliver trade collaboration methods to improve safe working and co-ordination of the job sites.
  • The ITIM is responsible for coordinating internal Microsoft scope and resource efforts, requirements, and schedules with those of the landlord, Owned Vendors and Suppliers to ensure a smooth and timely handover of the fitted out Data Centre facility and capacity to the Microsoft Operations team and Business Groups.
  • The ITIM will coordinate with the Data Center Engineering (DCE) team and supporting specialty consultants to review, improve and execute the design.
  • The ITIM is responsible for the coordination of the telecom materials procurement, telecoms installation, Security systems installation, FFE procurement and installation
  • Coordination of the design, procurement, installation and turn up of the facility Corporate Network
  • In cooperation with the Construction Lead this position aligns metro wide delivery strategies to local team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts.
  • The ITIM will align with the Construction PM to agree delivery strategies across multi sites and manage a continuous improvement program that will result in a lean project delivery approach.
  • The ITIM will be the responsible identifying and managing stakeholder dependencies and construction deliverables and handoffs for/with Microsoft Security (DCPS), Microsoft IT (CSE), DCI NE, Networking and Integrated services.
  • The ITIM will work alongside the DCD Construction manager and report into the Regional ITIM team leader and is responsible for the delivery of Integration and Technical Infrastructure scope and deliverables for the US-West Region.
  • Reports to the CO+I RegionalData Center Integration Leadwith reporting structure to an EOT Team Lead
  • Leads data center construction/integration activities on local/campus projects (e.g., new or retrofit data center facilities) and provides key input on all data center fit-out related activities.
  • This position requires a high level of understanding of Safety, Datacenter Commissioning, Project Management, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical Operations.
  • Create and/ormaintainbest practices toidentifyand incorporate quality and cost-effective solutions.

Accountability:

  • Travel to projects to ensure consistent operations and efficiencies across the region, including project setup, onboarding, training, audit, assessing resource effectiveness, and conducting project health checks.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting onscope,schedule of theITIMprocess for CO+Iprojects.
  • Reporting of theITIMprocess to management on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for being able to effectively evaluate project status and developtimelyand cost-effective solutions for safe delivery within budget,qualityand schedule.
