U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Software Engineer – Fullstack in Irving, Texas (multiple positions).
Essential Responsibilities:
The Lead Software Engineer – Fullstack will design, develop and enhance large-scale customer facing enterprise Java/Web applications per technical and functional requirements gathered from product and business lines. Prepare high level/low level functional design documents with data management, reporting and implementation API & Microservices architecture for U.S. Bank-specific credit cards that run per boldstroke standards. Develop credit card servicing APIs/UI changes, and perform deployment of Apps/APIs. Conduct design walkthroughs and code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures, within core skills in Java with Spring WebFlux, Spring Boot and GraphQL per U.S. Bank security standards for Card Servicing platform. Handle analysis, development, and testing phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Friendly User Testing) of projects to meet boldstroke code quality in backend and micro app/host app standard components. Build unit test automation suites for API testing using Mockito, TestNG, Junit, Java Cucumber, Karate and Java Selenium framework. Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code for cloud native applications with knowledge of UI development using React JS. Collaborate with Dev, Middleware (ICS and Hogan) and End users in order to better understand workflow and efficiently implement requirements. Participate in quality checks of the program. Engage in resolution of technical issues during testing. Run Fortify and Black Duck scans in addition to SonarQube to review code quality. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess at least 5 years of experience with: (a) designing and implementing API & Microservices architecture; (b) documenting and testing APIs using Postman and SoapUI (c) utilizing all of the following: Java; J2EE; SpringBoot; MVC; Struts; Hibernate; SDLC; Apache Tomcat; Oracle SQL; Jenkins; Github; MongoDB; RESTful API; Unix; and HTML.
