As the security controller you will be the Subject Matter Expert in United Kingdom government security programs. Experienced in operational security matters – such as physical security, security risk management, project security, security training and information security.
Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of all UK Security Accredited facilities (FSC/List N) across the UK together with supporting the UK Security Vetting Manager on the management of the vetting process where required.
You will ensure that the Company complies with all Client, Government and Regulatory requirements for the management and operation of its List N/FSC sites/areas and to advise management on all aspects of the secure operation of these facilities.
Working with Global Security & Resilience and other managers in the business, as required, to develop and implement new and updated procedures to meet security requirements and business needs to assure compliance.
Monitor and report on compliance with security policies, as well as the enforcement of policies across the UK.
Responsible for agreeing recruitment decisions, development moves, training requirements and remuneration levels for associated UK regulatory security team.
This role will be able to be based out of one of our main UK hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester or Glasgow)
Key Deliverables (Not limited to)
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all aspects of Security across the UK.
- Information Security section - to ensure all information (and assets) are protected appropriately. Includes security classifications and Jacobs markings.
- Designated as the ‘Personnel Security Controller’, who will be responsible to the Board level Contact for the strategic development of an effective personnel security culture and the day to day management and delivery UK security policy, procedures, risk assessment, management and general security processes.
- Supports the planning and implementation of UK strategic security requirements including identification of, processing and maintenance of security certifications required to support our business operations.
- Provides input to the Security policies, processes and procedures in respect of all Client, Government and Regulatory Security aspects.
- Support the Bid/Project Management Teams and Global Security team to manage all UK Regulatory Security Aspects; that they are adequately defined, managed and complied with on projects, including advice and guidance in relation to Security Aspects Letters and secure facilities.

- Extensive Government and Regulatory Security, and Information Security experience across a variety of markets to include some of the following; nuclear (civil and defence), national defence or private industrial.
- High level of knowledge and experience of Security related legislation with its application to the industry.
- Competent communicator both written, verbal and in presentations and evidence of creating a climate where people are motivated to their best to help organization achieve its objectives.
- Experience of managing teams of professionals that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
- Proven record of developing and mentoring people to meet both their career goals and the organisation goals.
- Able to achieve UKSV vetting.
