Key responsibilities:

  • Delivers project results and deliverables on-time, on-budget through effective risk and project management, and by motivating and influencing others.
  • Develops positive working relationships with several groups within BSC, including local sites and other departments and acts as liaison for projects and cross-functional training.
  • Project Type: Lean/Kaizen, System implementations, Acquisitions, and Integrations.
  • Project Scale: Regional and Global large-scale, cross-functional projects and likely to work on more than one project at a time.
  • Influences and creates the Value Improvement strategy for our end-to-end and regional processes.
  • Makes continuous improvement recommendations and presents project conclusions to businesses, functions and management by leveraging leading practices, monitoring performance metrics, and benchmarking performance across end-to-end business processes.
  • Participates in the month-end close process and acts as liaison with supported sites, as needed.
  • Supports the accountants on the team, including mentoring and approving journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information through preparation of reports and general ledger journal entries.
  • Assures financial accuracy for all supported sites and supports all legal entity closings on a monthly basis.
  • Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and standardizing processes across multiple legal entities.
  • Establishes and communicates accounting processes by maintaining a thorough understanding of SOX controls, GAAP, and new accounting guidance as appropriate.
  • Works to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners.

Minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience.
  • English level desired: Fluent.
  • Open to working across global time zones.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to act as team lead of accountants.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation.
  • Experience working in shared service environment preferred.
  • Holds self accountable to a performance metric culture building performance excellence.

Preferred requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of tools and systems (SAP ECC, SAP HANA, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
