About the role:

This position reports to the VP/Controller, Corporate Functions & Digital, and partners closely with function leadership. The role requires a high level of business partnership, influence, and financial acumen, demonstrated by wide-ranging experience in excel modeling, knowledge of various financial systems, and ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. The individual will also partner with global finance teams to consolidate and analyze global data used for decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage team of three Financial Analysts, providing coaching, support, and leadership; maintain and support inclusive culture
  • Lead Quality/Regulatory, Global Medical Sciences, Global R&D, and Finance business partners through operating plan, strategic plan, and quarterly forecast processes which includes driving robust conversations around investments and tradeoffs, providing analysis/recommendations, and ensuring adherence to financial targets
  • Review monthly/quarterly reporting schedules, including variance/trend analysis, and communicate key drivers of financial performance, areas of opportunity, and risk to senior management
  • Present financial information to non-finance leaders in a digestible and relatable manner while demonstrating a solid understanding of business drivers
  • Oversee consolidation, analysis, and reporting of Global Quality and EU MDR spend
  • Support Global Enterprise Excellence and Corporate Strategy initiatives and reporting related to Global R&D, requiring understanding of Product Life Cycle Principles
  • Perform monthly/quarterly reviews in accordance with Corporate Finance policies (e.g., journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation reviews)
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to assist with functional resourcing & prioritization processes for headcount needs across the organization
  • Serve as finance subject matter expert and approver for Value Improvement Program projects led by supported functions
  • Drive continuous improvement within our financial processes to gain efficiencies
  • Represent Corporate Functions Finance on key cross-functional initiatives and projects


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • 10+ years of financial analysis, planning, and business support experience at medium- to large-sized companies
  • Ability to work well in a complex, highly matrixed global organization and simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes
  • Strong leadership skills including influence and courage
  • Ability to work autonomously and act in a consultative role
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage team deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Very strong financial analysis skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to consolidate, synthesize, and report on large amounts of financial data
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of tools and systems (SAP, Hyperion Planning, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree
