What you will do

  • Work with the latest technologies in a highly cooperative landscape (e.g. containers, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Flask and REST/GraphQL APIs)

  • Participate in DevOps culture and apply Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) principles

  • Develop and maintain software to automatically provision, upgrade, monitor, and heal services in the release pipeline

  • Be one of the primary points of contact for incoming issues raised by stakeholders/clients through Jira tickets and alerts captured by the monitoring, investigate and apply solutions to encountered problems and most importantly, identify and design solutions that prevent issues from reoccurring

  • Identify pipeline workflows that could be automated, design and implement automation

  • Design user scenarios, test cases, write automated tests.

  • Provide code and peer reviews.

  • Document and maintain software functionality.

  • Perform root cause analysis.

What you will bring

  • Experience in Python & Python frameworks, and libraries

  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system, including command line proficiency, file systems, process management, and package management, experience with RHEL and Fedora is a plus

  • Experience with Git (GitHub/GitLab) and code reviews

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, Go language is considered a plus

  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

The following are considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of Linux containers, basic understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift

  • Experience with incident response processes, including root cause analysis, post-mortem analysis, and implementing preventive measures

  • Familiarity with monitoring (Splunk, Catchpoint, SignalFx or similar)
