Job Summary:
In this role you will be the technical sales leader for your accounts. You will create possibilities, solve problems, effectively provide technical insights and advice, and establish trusted relationships with our customers. You will collaborate with the Sales, Customer Success, and Partner Ecosystem teams to discover the customer’s business and technical objectives and help them invest in the right solutions from the Red Hat and Partner Ecosystem portfolio. You’ll be expected to handle a range of customer conversations, from introductory discussions on our solutions to mapping architectural and technical details specific to the customer’s environment. As the Account Solution Architect, you will coordinate the efforts of other Red Hat technical staff to design solutions and ensure customer adoption and satisfaction. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. You will also need to have knowledge of the Army industry, including trends and challenges. Finally, you’ll want to have a passion for open source, and a balance of technical expertise with business acumen.
What you will do:
Gain an in-depth understanding of our customers' business goals, technical objectives and IT environments.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Partner Ecosystem teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat and Partner solutions.
Provide pre-sales technical leadership for the development and implementation of complex solutions and services.
Develop strategic relationships with our customers to become a trusted advisor.
Deliver proof of value to our customers and partners through presentations, demonstrations, workshops and pilot projects.
Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
Coordinate the technical efforts of other Red Hat resources like Product Specialists, Support and Professional Services.
Deliver compelling recommendations that result in the closing of new sales.
Engage in building customer reference testimonials.
Own and meet a bookings quota and perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities you are working on.
Share your expertise by contributing to documentation (e.g., wikis, quick-start guides, blog posts and white papers), developing reusable assets (e.g., demonstrations, workshops) and presenting at conferences and industry events.
What you will bring:
Referable in-depth knowledge of and working experience with the Public Sector in Switzerland of 3+ years.
Large existing, diverse, and actively maintained relationship network across all organizations in Switzerland’s Public Sector.
Having an active PSP 10 or higher certification is a differentiator.
Collaboration with others and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Background in technical pre-sales or consultative customer engagement with a major professional services organization or within the services division of a major software company or customer IT department.
Ability to translate technical requirements into proposals, presentations, standard demos, workshops, business value point of views, etc. for customers.
Practical experience in automation including scripting in YAML, Python, PowerShell etc. and with containers and Kubernetes is a plus.
Technical expertise in Red Hat technologies like RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform. Active certifications are an advantage.
Technical expertise in PaaS and IaaS technologies like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, etc. Active certifications are an advantage.
Knowledge in the AI and Virtualization domain are a plus.
Excellent communication skills with extensive experience presenting to diverse audiences, including but not limited to IT managers and C-level executives at large organizations.
German-speaking is a must, fluency in French and English is an advantage.
Solutions-sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services.
Willingness to travel in Switzerland up to 70% as reasonably necessary to facilitate business, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Being based in the Greater Berne Area is a differentiator.
