Asa Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer here atHoneywell SmartEnergy, you will play a critical role in thedesign, development and implementation of advanced hardware systems for cutting-edge Smart Energy solutions.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of advanced hardware test solutions essential for the development of Smart Metering products. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and define project requirements will enable seamless integration with other components and systems, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our Smart Metering products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced hardware test systems essential for the development of Honeywell Smart Metering products.
- Design test hardware solutions for testing electronic, RF and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) for NPI and existing electronic metering product lines.
- Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Experience with Schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new technologies for hardware development
- The hardware test systems solutions may consist of digital I/O, analog I/O, signal conditioning, switching, and routing of baseband and RF signals, serial communications, etc
- Identify opportunities for process and product improvements and contribute to the optimization of solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members

YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Proven experience in hardware design and development
WE VALUE- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with some of the following is of value:
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Knowledge of analog and/or digital circuit design
- Proficient in using simulation and modeling tools for hardware design
- Experience with FPGA and DSP design
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus)
- Experience designing test equipment solutions is of value
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
