We currently are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to support the EY Financial Services Indirect Tax practice within our Service Delivery Center. The Service Delivery Center is an extension of our tax practice, which helps implement sustainable tax strategies, improves tax functions processes, and supports both internal and external relationships with tax authorities. As a Senior Analyst, you will be part of a growing team that helps to support a wide range of financial services clients and colleagues. In this role, you will have various opportunities to demonstrate your understanding of client matters while being a mentor to others within your team.

Your key responsibilities

Assist in implementing leading practices across our engagement teams while developing a strong network across multiple practice offices. As part of the Service Deliver Center Indirect Tax practice, you will work alongside client-serving professionals by supporting tax technology implementation, engagement economics and delivery of exceptional client service. Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Create and process data files
  • Perform data analytics which can include amending, updating and creating new information from that data
  • Conduct quality review on all tasks, with the goal of achieving accuracy and completeness in a productive and efficient workflow
  • Collaborate and coordinate with global team members
  • Support operational processes around technology re-platform or automation efforts for all services
  • Assist with a variety of tasks related to engagement lifecycle, including but not limited to client agreements and invoicing
  • Maintain required analytics and proper use of tax technology tools

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience with analyzing and solving problems
  • Experience working with business, management and technology concepts
  • Experience with project management, organizational and analytics.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, general business, technology or related field
  • A minimum of one year of related experience specifically in tax and/or accounting
  • Financial services or technology experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and/or SharePoint) and the willingness to learn firm and client-specific technologies
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience with analyzing and solving problems of a complex nature

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $52,100 to $85,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $62,500 to $97,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
