This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.Key job responsibilities
• Deep Dive escalated hardware issues and provide clear guidance to Data Center Technicians.
• Assess possible systemic issues then identify and work with the owning team(s) to solve complex problems at scale.
• Initiate service improvements in the production environment
• Perform incident response, event management, and blameless Correction of Errors processes.
• Automate common tasks and processes
• Work with other engineers to diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Track the health of our services, identify and fix problems on complex systems with massive scale

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 3+ years of related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of hand-on experience with server hardware
- 2+ years of experience with command line Linux
- Ability to read, understand, modify, and utilize existing scripts (python, bash, java, tampermonkey/javascript)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- 5+ years overall development/technical support experience
- 2+ years of networking experience.
- 2+ years automating routine tasks using Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting all levels of the OSI model
- Experience with performance and log analysis.
- Previous experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment)
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and worked in a cramped and/or elevated environment
