Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Lead the Factory Outlet Allocation team to meet FO financial objectives (net sales and Margin) as well as contributiong company old season product liquidation.
  • Optimize weekly inventory allocation across Factory Outlet stores based on sell thru progress.
  • Provide product needs to CTC AP to make the GFO range selection relevant to FO channel needs.

Objective & Target:

  • Support the achievement of commercial KPI’s including Net Sales, Operating Working Capital, and margin primarily to positively impact top line growth and bottom line contribution.
  • Support company stock level management by leveraging Factory Outlet channel, aligning financial target adjustment (*such as lower margin to accelerate stock reduction).
  • Adjust markdown level based on the rate of sales and week on hands within Markdown policy.
  • Prepare SLT approval request for final markdown based on Japan Markdown policy.

Allocation Operations:

  • Allocation, both initial and ongoing are timely to ensure maximum product availability, and maximum conversion and consumer experience.
  • Review Pricing every week to maximize margin.
  • Work with Retail Sales and Activation team to prepare and execute seasonal FO promotion calendar
  • Analyze FO sell thru by article level, and proactively work on x-channel stock transfer to optimize company stock re-allocation.
  • Work closely with DC team for smooth product delivery to FO doors. Arrange special delivery plan for key commecial moment when DC is not fully operated (New Year, Golden Week, Obon holidays)

GFO buying

  • Build Japan GFO assortment together with Japan CtC team and BUs.
  • Place order according to monthly OTB and PO schedule.
  • Be the key contact for retail stores, summarize the feedback from the front lines, and reflect to the future season assortment plan.
  • Place appropriate level of GFO, algining with finance in terms OTB and Japan CTC AP in terms of FO range.

  • Proactively focus on self and team development, encouraging optimal performance through a commitment to learning and enhancement of competencies within the team.
  • Regularly re-evaluate the effectiveness of the structure and the tools, and way of working that may enhance or hinder work-place and task efficiency.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in relevant Merchandising or Buying of retail industry and ideally Factory Outlet experience in an international company is plus
  • Fluent in Japanese
  • English capability is advantage.
