Managed Solutions Investor relations - Job Description for VP RoleShift Timings : 1:30pm – 10:30PM)

The Managed Solutions Investor Relations team seeks to provide comprehensive coverage of all of our managed solutions (Core, Advisory, SMAs, mutual funds [JPM and 3rd party where offered]) in a coordinated way. In this position, you will be responsible for providing investor relations coverage for our suite of managed solutions products for the Global Private Bank. You (VP) will serve as a primary point of contact for the India teams our internal partners and stakeholders.

The team is primarily based in Mumbai and interacts with global counterparts based in New York and London.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive understanding of underlying platforms, systems and tools with the ability to think strategically and deliver business results for their respective product domains by:
    • Driving internal and external communications to deliver transparent and impactful content (e.g. strategy launches, announcements, commentaries, etc.)
    • Creating highly-leveraged advisor and client resources, responding to a high volume of advisor / client inquiries, authoring RFPs, corporate actions, etc.
    • Contributing and participating in efforts to enhance the Advisor / Client experience and strategic business initiatives
  • Actively drive meetings with stakeholders and partners by sharing meaningful insights and driving clear outcomes / next steps
  • Develop and drive initiatives aimed at improving the advisory/client experience (both internal & external), including developing new educational resources, increasing the efficiency of information flow and evolving the way we communicate between different areas of the business
  • Leverage knowledge about our investments solutions, the markets and existing Portfolio Manager/CIO driven content to discuss & support our portfolios/investments and to provide guidance in broader Solutions platform initiatives/projects
  • Maintain detailed metrics and identify key trends in order to proactively develop resources for the sales force.
  • Provide thought leadership to enhance underlying workflow while successfully articulating vision / end goal to team members and stakeholders

Specific responsibilities from a contributor and team lead would be as follows -

  • You will need to be hands-on, develop/ deepen in-depth subject matter expertise with the responsibilities for the team, as well as guide the junior resources on the team with functional nuances
  • Identification and hiring appropriate talent with varying experience levels, staffing the team appropriately and managing them both individually and as a collective team – setting goals, monitoring progress and offering ongoing career guidance
  • Responsible for Business Development – Apply business / product / process understanding to identify opportunities to build depth in the function, move up the value chain from a complexity standpoint and work towards end to end ownership of appropriate tasks
  • Strategic Oversight of team coverage as it relates to structure, controls, resiliency and create various mechanisms/metrics to measure operational effectiveness of the team
  • Stakeholder management – effective communication and regular status reporting to key business stakeholders
  • Ensure consistency and process efficiencies across the team, and identify opportunities for process improvements; Analyze existing capabilities and identify priority gaps and opportunities
  • Lead and be the catalyst for change as requirements and priorities shift as we progress from planning to execution
  • Encourage and drive collaboration with related functions/groups supporting this business locally and globally to drive integration and efficiency

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • MBA/CFA or an equivalent professional degree with 12- 14+ years of experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the Investments domain / Global markets
  • Experienced people manager adept at working in matrix organization and managing dynamic high performing teams
  • Proactive, self-motivated and solution oriented approach, project management skills would be useful
  • Hands on multi-tasker, self directed, capable of working independently and as part of the team.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagements skills, strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of client management
  • Ability to execute within a fast-paced and demanding environment, while managing multiple concurrent deliverables/tasks
  • Proactive, accountable, and assertive; strong work ethic
  • Confident and skill to think strategically, develop solutions, and present recommendations to business leaders
  • Superior judgment and discretion working with both confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
