The Compliance Data Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring PayPal UK Limited (PPUK) meets its regulatory and governance obligations through effective data management and reporting. You will be involved in managing data requests, regulatory reporting, and compliance reporting for governance processes. A key aspect of the position is assessing new and existing regulatory reporting requirements, working with cross-functional teams to confirm data availability and accuracy. This requires strong data manipulation and organisational skills.Regulatory Reporting and Compliance Oversight
Assess and interpret incoming regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring all data submission obligations areidentifiedand fulfilled.
Liaise with internal stakeholders across functions to confirm the availability, accuracy, and reliability of data needed for reporting.
Prepare andsubmitaccurateandtimelyreports to regulators in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
Compliance Governance and Data Requests
Generate compliance reports to support governance processes, including management information (MI) for senior leadership and Board-level committees.
Respond to internal and external data requests, ensuringtimelyand reliable delivery of information.
Maintain comprehensive records of data submissions and compliance reporting for audit and oversight purposes.
Data Management and Analysis
Use advanced data manipulation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar) toanalyseand prepare datasets for compliance-related tasks.
trends or anomalies in compliance data and escalate findings to the Compliance Senior Manager or relevant stakeholders.
Process Optimiation
Design and implement improved workflows and tools to streamline compliance reporting processes.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal teams, including Risk, Operations, IT, and Product, to ensure data quality and consistency.
Act as a liaison between the Compliance function and other business units to address regulatory reporting needs and resolve data discrepancies.
Essential Skills and Experience
proficiencyin data manipulation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for financial institutions or regulated entities.
Exceptional organisational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage data and reporting workflows.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Familiarity with governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) is an advantage but not mandatory.
Experience working within a compliance or data-focused role in a regulated environment
