Process Overview:
Reference Data Technology is responsible for the strategy, sourcing, maintenance, and distribution of Reference Data across the Bank. It is also responsible for Global Markets Client Onboarding, Reg W, and FMU Reporting. Reference Data comprises 3 main categories - Client, Instrument and Book. Reference Data Technology is a provider of data for Front to Back Flows, Enterprise Supply Chain, Risk, Banking, GWIM and Compliance. This process includes applications which are designated as the Authorized Data Sources for some of the data domains. The data domains include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery of complex features required for funded initiatives as well as for stretch assignments, in line with the Reference Data strategy/ road map.
- Tracking multiple funded initiatives projects to closure, ensuring all processes are followed.
- Providing thought leadership to the team on delivery and other aspects
- Ensuring and enhancing agile adoption across the team / Oversight on the SDLC process - ensuring no breaks with the SDLC processes from GBS
- Providing technical oversight of delivery of multiple initiatives
- Mentoring junior members on the team on design / architecture / process / domain
- Collaborating with business users, technology management and global teams on projects / deliverables as and when required
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders (written and oral) and keep them informed of the status of projects
- Proactively identify issues and escalate to the right forum / contact
- Work in a fast-paced environment, under minimal supervision with minimal guidance from others
- Client Counterparty: Organizations, Individuals, Prospects, Contacts
- Client Accounts & SSIs: Cash, Derivatives, Processing
- Book: trading Books, Subledgers, Volcker classifications
- Instruments: Listed Products, Cleared Products, EOD Pricing, Holiday Calendars
- Traded product agreements: International Swaps Derivative Agreements (ISDA) and Credit Support Annexes (CSA), executed Futures Agreements and OTC Futures Addendums etc…
Education:
Certifications (if any):
- OCJP certification preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
Experience Range:14 - 18 years
Foundational Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Functional Programming (Java / Scala)
- Technically Strong and hands on in Java / J2EE
- Solid knowledge of OOPS (Java / J2EE)
- Good knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle preferred)
- Good knowledge of SDLC
- Proactive approach to problem solving and innovative thinking
- Established track record of delivery of funded projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
