Description
• Analyze capital purchases and record the cost of the newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible). • Tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets in the SAP Fixed Asset Accounting module. • Preparing accounting analysis, journal entries (“JVs”), reconciliations (“BSRs”), quarterly schedules and reporting, analysis of construction-in-progress and fixed assets inventory audits. • Ensuring financial data is recorded in accordance with established company policies and GAAP and ensuring SOX controls compliance.• Collaborate with Corporate accounting on the alignment to correct accounting treatment for Intangibles and other assets.• Work on Fixed Assets related projects as assigned by your manager.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience in fixed assets accounting or related field, preferably in a multinational corporate environment or a combination of experience within a corporate environment and a public accounting or consulting firm or other relevant experience
  • Strong accounting understanding to support complex transactions in Intangible and Other assets.
  • Excellent SAP knowledge
  • Accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA etc
  • Knowledge and application of IFRS & Local GAAP
  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the functionality of various accounting system.
  • Understanding of the accounts payable process, specifically as it relates to the purchase requisitions/orders of capital assets
  • High proficiency with data analysis and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database tools
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables with competing timelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally on projects
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent subject. CPA and/or Master’s is a plus.
