Introducing Global Clinical Data Integration (GCDI): Transforming clinical data management in Latin America. With a focus on streamlining information, our department collects, cleans, transforms, and archives clinical data, ensuring high quality and compliance. As a new addition to the region, we intend to enhance efficiency and leverage local information across departments to drive innovation and deliver value across clinical trials, data management standards, and technology platforms.
Your role as awill extend beyond technical execution. You will also play a crucial part in providing training and guidance to a team of developers, ensuring their continuous growth and development. With your strong interpersonal skills, you will effectively interface with study teams, key stakeholders, and functional managers, integrating their requirements and aligning technical and process strategies. Through your leadership and expertise, you will foster a customer-oriented and solution-focused team environment, driving excellence in data management.
Main requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT, computer science, mathematics, science, a healthcare-related discipline, or relevant skills and experience;
- Knowledge of database structures and available tools to manage, extract, report, and warehouse data;
- Minimum of 4 years of database development or data programming experience;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data transformations and data loading;
- Minimum 3 years of experience with reporting tools;
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate with both the technical and business areas in Spanish and English;
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with cross functional stakeholders to interpret and ensure quality report specifications and input to report development;
- Solid knowledge of MS Windows/Office software and exposure to web-based applications;
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills;
- Keen sense of urgency and customer focus;
- Ability to work cross functionally and as part of a team;
- Capable of thriving in an autonomous work settings, adapting with ease to challenging circumstances, and displaying flexibility in dynamic environments.
Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Creates and develops clinical databases and data transfer files according to written specifications;
- Leads and participates in the review of electronic forms to aid in transfer of electronic data files;
- Creates and develops mapping specifications to meet requirements to ensure quality and timeliness of data flow;
- Leads and participates in developing transformation logic, and scripts to aid in the flow of data downstream for Analysis and Reporting;
- Creates and reviews reporting specifications to ensure high quality deliverables, and the needs of the business;
- Develop required training and provide ongoing training and development to Developers;
- Interfaces with functional manager to assure consistency of technical and process strategies;
- Interface with members of study teams and key stakeholders, to integrate requirements into all deliverables;
- Ensures adherence to database standards, SOPs, and Process Guidelines;
- Helps to develop a customer oriented and can-do attitude on a team and contributes as subject matter expert;
- Leads and participates in activities including, but not limited to, task forces, testing of new systems and helps coordinate technical initiatives;
- Contributes strategies, innovative and creative solutions to enhance processes and increase productivity.
