General Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity tools and processes aligned with SAP’s security strategy
- Assist in assessing threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard SAP’s systems, data, and operations
- Support development and integration of security solutions throughout the system development lifecycle
- Implement and maintain system-level security controls, including network, application, SIEM, and infrastructure
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security defenses such as firewalls, encryption protocols, and intrusion detection systems
- Assist in the analysis, documentation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities
- Research and apply emerging technologies, including ML/AI-based analytics, to improve threat detection and prevention capabilities
- Participate in incident response activities and collaborate in ongoing monitoring efforts
- Create and maintain technical documentation including security plans, process workflows, and system configurations
- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security tools and systems
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across SAP to understand business needs and ensure secure technology solutions
- Analyze network activity to identify performance or security concerns, and assist in implementing corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest or experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, or systems security
- General proficiency in tools and processes related to security engineering
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience reviewing technical documentation and creating process workflows
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments
- Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and best practices in cybersecurity
- Experience or interest in using AI/ML tools for monitoring and threat detection is a plus
- Understanding of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, risk management, and vulnerability remediation
- Ability to manage tasks within defined timelines, with attention to detail and documentation
Education Requirements:
Must be actively pursuing or a recent graduate with a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
