General Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity tools and processes aligned with SAP’s security strategy
  • Assist in assessing threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard SAP’s systems, data, and operations
  • Support development and integration of security solutions throughout the system development lifecycle
  • Implement and maintain system-level security controls, including network, application, SIEM, and infrastructure
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security defenses such as firewalls, encryption protocols, and intrusion detection systems
  • Assist in the analysis, documentation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities
  • Research and apply emerging technologies, including ML/AI-based analytics, to improve threat detection and prevention capabilities
  • Participate in incident response activities and collaborate in ongoing monitoring efforts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including security plans, process workflows, and system configurations
  • Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security tools and systems
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across SAP to understand business needs and ensure secure technology solutions
  • Analyze network activity to identify performance or security concerns, and assist in implementing corrective actions

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, or systems security
  • General proficiency in tools and processes related to security engineering
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation and creating process workflows
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and best practices in cybersecurity
  • Experience or interest in using AI/ML tools for monitoring and threat detection is a plus
  • Understanding of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, risk management, and vulnerability remediation
  • Ability to manage tasks within defined timelines, with attention to detail and documentation

Education Requirements:

Must be actively pursuing or a recent graduate with a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
