This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.Your position will evolve as you gain experience and develop your understanding of our organization and tax credit investments. You will work closely with the current staff and management and will be assigned a variety of responsibilities that will change frequently. There will be considerable interface with all levels of the department, the division, and with other corporate departments.Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:
• Monthly closing duties and analysis for several entities.
• Journal entry and reconciliation preparation.
• Accounting system research and projects.
• Preparation of Corporate reporting packages and ad hoc reporting.
• Partner and provide exceptional customer service to Line of Business contacts.
• Responding to inquiries from the Line of Business Operations Group
• Special projects.Desired qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA or current pursuit of CPA license is preferred.
• Two plus years in an accounting role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized, resourceful, and detail oriented.
Job Description- Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
- Prepares, analyzes, and maintains records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Creates and evaluates reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Interacts with all levels of an organization in determining content and summarizing data for management. .
- Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
- Supports and assists junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
