In this role, you will be instrumental in defining critical optical module performance and integration requirements, developing key display features, and implementing effective testing and calibration strategies. Additionally, you will support the module development process from prototype to mass production.
- Define optical module and feature requirements, including prototype and validation strategies.- Support daily activities related to build execution, module setup, data analysis, module failure analysis, and system integration.- Collaborate to establish optical module test and calibration requirements.- Develop prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions and conduct comprehensive trade-off analysis.- Effectively communicate the advantages, disadvantages, and risks to the broader team.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: optical design or architecture definition for augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR); module requirement definition, design, and integration; display/system architecture; optical characterization; numerical modeling; image/video processing and machine learning; human and visual perception; and psychophysical studies.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: development of optical module architectures from concept phase to MP; display technologies (e.g. µOLED, µLED); vendor management and multi-functional collaboration; software/algorithm development, programming (Python, Matlab); display pipeline optimization.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Optics, EECS, Physics, or a related field with 4+ years of experience in the relevant industry.
