Description
Collaborate with internal camera system hardware and software engineers to understand requirements and opportunities for future feature developmentInteract with sensor vendors to understand how they are verifying requirements and validating their implementationsDevelop methodologies for internally and externally validating system requirements including emulation of current and future camera system use casesEvaluate image sensors as part of both a camera module and the camera system to understand sensitivities, design tradeoffs, and to ensure the successful integration of the camera module into productsAssess and demonstrate new image and depth sensing technologiesTravel to vendor sites as required for implementation reviews
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong programming abilities, including C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages
- Strong communication skills with experience authoring formal specification documents and the ability to communicate cross-functionally
- Familiarity with optical and electrical characterization tools, including logic analyzers and lab automation
- Experience in defining validation plans based on an understanding of component level requirements and intended use cases
- Experience with design validation or characterization of image sensors or other sensor or display technologies
- Ability to travel internationally
- A BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
- Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with non-image sensors (ambient light, proximity, depth, MEMS, for example) is desirable.
- Experience with development of software or hardware for validation platforms.
- MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering
