looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is excited about building new features on managed database services.As a Senior Softwareyou will get an opportunity to build new features in autonomous database space on Azure PostgreSQL. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of software development principles and be able to apply them to create high-quality software along with experience working on Postgres database internals. You will work closely with other team members in Redmond, Atlanta and India who work ondifferent partsof tech stack. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills and take on new challenges within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

• This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science orrelated technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, orPython
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience
• Experience working on Postgres database internals.
• 8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns,reliabilityand scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Collaborate with teammates in various roles to plan and execute on key deliverables.
• 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems.
