DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements,
incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Creating automation scripts with Python and its libraries; Implementing and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for efficient software delivery; Using Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for scalable application deployment and management; Developing and maintaining SOAP-based web services for seamless external system integration; Leveraging Hibernate for effective database interaction and management; Developing software in a microservices environment, deploying APIs with Java; Building front end services using React, Angular, JavaScript and bootstrap; Demonstrating proficiency in system design and database querying using MySQL; Utilizing Spring and Maven for application development and dependency management; Building applications that handle data transfer using JSON and XML formatted payloads; Writing JUnit test cases to achieve 100% code coverage; Using various tools for performance testing on large-scale applications; Using Query logs and design insightful dashboards in Splunk; Designing microservices using SDLC models and following Object-Oriented Programming; and Database design by writing queries using MySQL and SQL Server.
