Key job responsibilities
Strategic Data Advisory:
- Partner with product and technical stakeholders to define optimal data emission patterns
- Provide expert guidance on data architecture to support diverse use cases from basic analytics to GenAI applications
- Develop deep understanding of product features and existing data landscape to identify enrichment opportunitiesData Architecture & Platform:
- Lead the design and implementation of a scalable, department-wide data platform
- Architect data pipelines that support real-time and batch processing needs
- Build foundational tables optimized for various consumption patterns (AI/ML, analytics, reporting)
- Ensure data platform meets security, governance, and compliance requirements
- Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring systemsTechnical Leadership:- Design data models that balance immediate needs with long-term extensibility
- Establish patterns for data discovery and self-service access- Mentor other engineers on data architecture principlesA day in the life

- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices

- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
