Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily import/export activities for all KLA Korea and subsidiary locations
- Support the Regional Trade Compliance Program Manager with analyzing trade compliance regulatory developments, assessing impacts to the business, and supporting any actions required to maintain compliance
- Lead local HS classification reviews and assist with import permit applications as required.
- Work with local Customs Brokers and logistics onimport/export-relatedqueries
- Lead strategic goods activities (“Yes Trade” program) and obtain export permits for strategic goods when required
- Support application and management of the Korean bulk license for strategic goods
- Support trade compliance awareness training within Korea
- Maintain standard trade compliance procedures for all KLA locations in Korea
- Support daily operations needs and urgent shipments by reviewing/releasing ad hoc export orders as needed
- Assisted with trade compliance due diligence and risk assessments of third parties such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Support Global Trade Compliance team corporate projects
Qualifications
- BS or BA is preferred, along with five years of Trade Compliance experience and a good understanding of International Business
- Good knowledge of Korean import/export regulations, especially HS Tariff Classification, Country of Origin, and Export Licensing. Knowledge of Customs Valuation regulations is a plus.
- Experience with SAP automated import/export compliance software system (GTS)
- Knowledge of US Export/Reexport Regulations knowledge is helpful
- Able to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional colleagues in a global environment
- Good analytical skills
- Experience in the high-tech industry preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Able to work across multiple time zones
Minimum Qualifications
BS or BA degree, along with 3-5 years Trade Compliance experience and a good understanding of International Business. Good knowledge of Korea import/export regulations, especially mechanical and electrical product HS Tariff Classification, COO, and export licensing.
