Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for talented data scientists/software engineer to join our data department at IBM Watson Orders. This department focuses on:

  1. Building evaluation tools and evaluation sets for measuring the performance of machine learning (ML) models and the entire ML pipelines when developers make any changes

  2. Identify patterns in issues that system has at store levels and provide insights on how to fix them by either adding new features or fixing bugs and their potential impacts

  3. Building automatic error labeling system to identify major issues of our voice agent system in production

  4. Developing pipelines, reports, dashboards and frameworks that monitor and analyze performance of our AI Drive Thru Voice Agents

  5. Designing and analyzing A/B experiments to improve Voice Agent behavior

  6. Providing insights of the product performance in real time across diverse regions and stores

  7. Aggregating, curating and distilling data from various hubs to provide actionable insights to cross

    functional engineering, business, operations teams, both internal and client side

  8. Contributing data artifacts to improve the AI/ML product development lifecycle

Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop data schema, ETL, metrics and reports for production performance analytics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners within IBM Watson Order departments to identify, iterate and evolve rigor and maturity of data sources, quality and signals to distill and present consolidated view of product performance across platform and products.
  • Employ advanced statistical modeling to analyze large data sets, create dashboards and derive insights to guide key business, product and engineering decisions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that data infrastructure and systems are performant, scalable, reliable and secure
  • Enable big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions that leverage state-of-the-art data and ML technologies


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline 1+ years of experience in data science or analytics
  • 1+ years of Python and SQL experience working with big data
  • Good understanding of high-performance algorithms and statistics


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Some knowledge of data modeling, queries and understanding of different data structures
  • Good analytical skills with an engineering, algorithmic mind to design tools, pipelines and systems to handle large-scale, real-time ML analysis, whether in batch or streaming.
